Therese dropped into the Kelsale coffee morning last week, which coincides with the opening of the Post Office on Wednesday mornings, to talk to local residents.
The consultation on Lionlink closes today. Earlier this week, Therese was in Southwold at one of the proposed landing sites, which she thinks is entirely inappropriate for this project.
Therese was in Walberswick yesterday ahead of Storm Ciaran to check on the water levels. She also met staff from the Environment Agency who were carrying out routine checks on the flood defences.
Therese has signed the legislation to ban XL Bully type dogs, for public safety. From the 31st of December, dogs will have to be muzzled and on a lead in public. From the 1st of February 2024, it will be illegal to own an XL Bully unless it is registered on index of exempted dogs.
The government is making childcare cheaper and more accessible to ensure no one has to choose between having a career and having a family. Last week local authorities across the country were allocated a share of £289 million to deliver wraparound childcare with £4.45m going to Suffolk.
I have today responded to National Grid Venture’s Lionlink (formerly known as Eurolink) consultation opposing all the options. You can read my full submission here.
Statement from Therese on the B1127 road flooding:
Good news. The Environment Agency has now obtained a Magistrates Court Warrant to access private land close to Easton Broad, to help relieve flooding on the B1127 at Potters Bridge.
